I was not here for a debate with you, because there is no debating with you: just being on the other end of yet another boring diatribe about how your minmax calculations have determined the one true build which leads on to how you are the best player and you can complete the whole game with a one-armed firestarter yet (somewhat paradoxically) how any tactic works on the AI so every other tactic proposed by others is pointless I rarely come to this forum and yet it is like clockwork with you. Just stop and listen to yourself for a minute.

Not everything is subjective like you actively try to make it seem.

So no, a discussion about which M2R is the best headcapper (or even the best M2R setup in general) is not in the same level as a discussion about favorite color or taste of ice cream. That is also objective because applies not only to me.
#Battletech marauder full
My way has two parts: on one side cold data, which isn't perfect but it is objective and has some utility whether you agree or not with my conclusion and on the other the fact that any experienced player can take that loadout and cruise through five skulls with it alone, and absolutely owning the opfor if within a full lance. Your way of determining it is that you like it more and that it is more fun to you, which is useless for people who aren't you, and makes no sense sharing it to the world in a discussion which is not about preferences. The term "best" maybe not completely objective but sure it has a very important objective component, specially when it is specified to be better at something, as it strongly suggest you can use some metrics or at least make some kind of tests to determine which (in this case) loadouts are better than others. I thought you'd respond in a more clever way.Īs to the "completely irrelevant" idea of a "best" build being fun, again that is not the objective fact you seem to wish it to be: "best" is also a subjective concept - I have referenced in my original email that I am not going to present a mathematical basis for claiming it best - clearly minmaxing DPS is your definition of best - but instead am relying on a more qualitative concept of "best" being the method that is most fun for me. And I say "in a way" because I wasn't really expecting that. In a way I'd say you were the one who took the bait. It wasn't exactly subtle, which makes even funnier you trying to weaponize it against me while putting yourself in a high horse. and for sure more fun" so seriously when my response clearly wasn't, as I was just taking your proposition to the extreme, made evident by the idea of a melee-only Marauder. As it was clear you are not here for a honest debate. However, the irony of your writing " for sure more fun", followed by the dismissive "who decides which is more fun, you?" is quite something.Īs to the "completely irrelevant" idea of a "best" build being fun, again that is not the objective fact you seem to wish it to be: "best" is also a subjective concept - I have referenced in my original post that I am not going to present a mathematical basis for claiming it best - clearly minmaxing DPS is your definition of best - but instead am relying on a more qualitative concept of "best" being the method that is most fun for me.Īnd I was curious about what you were to say and how far you were going to go with your disingenuousness. Neither you nor I are OP so we have no idea if their definition of fun is closer to yours than mine. there's the triggering I was expecting (but hoping not to see) from daring to disagree with your proclamations.įirstly, yes: fun is by definition an entirely subjective phenomenon, and so I (and only I) can only decide what is more fun for me.
